I had two restaurants that I had to try while I was in DC...I had no clue how spaced out DC may or may not be so I was going to go with the flow of my exploration instead of being pressed(who likes being pressed on vacay?). A friend suggested The Coupe, she said it was one of her favorite places in the city and its open 24/7...sounded like a win. I was intrigued even more to find out The Coupe was a favorite of President Obama...my boy Barry O was a fan of the Burger and Spinach on the side. I was even more inclined to try it when I found out that I could WALK there from my cousins crib...destiny.
The Coupe is a dope fusion of Coffee Shop/Bar/Restaurant, I've never really seen anything like it before. I was impressed by the artsy and modern décor and the local IPA brews. Very dope ambiance, great vibe to wind down the night or start it up. Since I am on my burger tour, I went with the same meal as the leader of these here united states went with, and it was magic. The burger was delicious yet understated, nothing was really special about it but it was cooked to perfection and tender like a burger was supposed to be. It wasn't the best burger in DC but definitely one I recommend. I truly enjoyed the natural flavor of it and the sautéed spinach was dope.
If you visit DC and want a cool after hours restaurant I urge you to Coupe it up.
