"A rebel without a cause" she said..."James Dean" she said...neither of those were something I associated myself with but classic cool I have plenty of that. I was honored to have had the opportunity to have been the "muse" as they called it for the amazing ladies at femfATL. The 'she' I was referring to was Kristen, a friend whom I've know for years was more than willing to offer her vision and support to a starving blogger like myself. Kristen and Brittany, the tag team champs of women's lifestyle and fashion blogs, and I had been trying to collab for a while and the product of their creativity was amazing. The ladies, who also do image consulting, asked that I wear something classic and modern, but offer a look that transcends the era which we were referencing. Kristen and Brittany have a keen eye for finding places and opportunities for shots. It's a talent that I sorely lack and they chose Plaza Theater and Majestic Diner. Two places which, at night, give that classic 50's/60's vibe and maybe the only venue in the city that could've encompassed the theme they wanted to execute.
I did my part by wearing classics with modern twists all the way down.
Navy Suit Supply Double Breasted Blazer
Denim Suit Supply Spread Collar Oxford
GAP Japanese Selvedge Denim
Goorin Bros Fedora
Charles Philip Shanghai Loafers.
The shooting was the first time I had gone through anything professional but, as my homies they kept me comfortable and laughing throughout, even as I struggled through smoking my first cigarette(simply for the aesthetic). They did me an amazing solid and an incredible job.
